The 2008 Hall of Fame induction and  BBQ will be held on Saturday September 13th at All American Speedway in Roseville from 12:00noon to 2:00pm.

Plans are also in place for the 2008 All American Vintage Classic III which is scheduled for September 11, 12, & 13.  The event will kick off with Vintage Movies and a no host chili feed on Thursday evening.

On track activites will include an exposition of cars from the 1930s to 1970s on Friday and Saturday from 3:00pm to 10:00pm.

There will be a Vintage swap meet Friday morning from 6:00am to 11:00am. and Friday night movies in the pits after track activities.

Saturday morning the pit area will be open to the public from 8:00am to 11:00am (free admission).

 

 

 

 

 

The very first race at West Capitol, then known as  Capitol Stadium on the Davis Hiway, was held May 26, 1947,  4,000 people attended.  It was a Midget show and 40 cars showed up to race.  Johnny Soares out of Oakland, who was a veteran racer with B.C.R.A. of just 3 years, won the 25 lap victory. Second was Bob Barkhimer.  Jerry Piper set the pace for the first 14 laps after getting a third in his heat.
